  • Research

The goal of my research, in LaTICE-GE, is to design different machine translation (statistical / rule-based / hybrid) to translate written text to sign language towards establishing a bridge between hearing and Deaf people. Also, I work on algorithms for 3D mesh processing. I am currently working on several projects:

    • WebSign: is a project that carries on developing tools able to make information over the web accessible for deaf. In fact, communication systems are using texts, videos and many other media unadjusted for deaf. In this context, Websign aims to improve accessibility for the deaf to ICT and provide tools able to increase their autonomy and does not require the hearing person to acquire specific skills to communicate with them. www.latice.rnu.tn/websign
      WebSign in Press :
    • Arabic Translation Member of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0: Translating the accessibility guidelines for Arabic communities. The translation is under revision in W3C. Translation is available online: website [visit the call for evaluation]
    • [2010] EumedGrid Support / EPIKH: Spreading the knowledge about the “Grid Paradigm” to all potential users: both system administrators and application developers through an extensive training program. www.epikh.eu

    • and others internal research activities.
